Q: When is a good time to be able to experiment [with repeater functions] without being thrown out ;-).
A: The best time to test out the 147.21's functions is anytime that the repeater is not busy, during daytime hours, for the most part. If you havn't heard any activity on the repeater for a few minutes or so, go for it! (Most repeater "user functions" are turned off from 10 PM to 5 AM to discourage abuse when control operators are less likely to be present to intervene.) Make sure you ID properly before and after using each of the functions, and please be courteous always. We encourage you to learn to use all the functions of the club repeater. It is, after all, yours!
