Skywarn Recognition Day 2005
Posted on Monday 14 November @ 16:12:59
SkywarnSKYWARN Recognition Day was developed in 1999 by the National Weather Service and the American Radio Relay League. It celebrates the contributions that volunteer SKYWARN radio operators make to the National Weather Service. During the day SKYWARN operators visit NWS offices and contact other radio operators across the world.

For details about the activities including operating procedures, frequencies, NWS Offices and other details see: hamradio.noaa.gov. Additional information may be found in the current (December, 2005) issue of QST, page 72.

Activities begin at 6:00PM Friday December 2, and continue for 24 hours until 6:00PM Saturday December 3.
